I was pretty amazed when a neighbor called to inquire about a portrait session three years after leaving a marketing piece on her doorstep that I designed for my neighbors. Melissa called to inform me that she hung on to the postcard for that long and they recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Morgan. She wanted a lifestyle portrait session in the comfort of their home. I typically don't advertise that I photograph newborns and communicated with her what I could deliver. Well, here's a few of my favorites that I captured of their family portrait session. Since they're neighbors, I get to see them walking their dogs with baby Morgan in tote who was just three weeks old when I photographed this lovely family. I also designed a birth announcement with one of Mama's favorite photo. Congratulations Melissa and David!

Children Portrait, Fullerton CA
I'm always honored when Alicia asks me to take her family portraits. This was the third year and she opted to just have Nathan in the photos. She set the scene with an adorable puppy and a Radio Flyer wagon. It really doesn't get any more adorable than this. Fall sessions provide the best backdrop and this park did not disappoint. Nathan was more into pulling and climbing out of the wagon, finding sticks and walking the puppy so we just chased after him and let him do his thing. His expression in the last photo was due to a plane flying overhead as he looked up to see it. Alicia schedules in time to use the photos for her holiday cards. It's so great to see the photos in print as so many of us keep them hidden on our phones and computers.

Engagement and family portrait, Long Beach
I didn't get around to posting some of my favorites from Kasi and Leigh's engagement/family session. These were taken in late June down by the peninsula. Their girls looked so cute in their matching bathing suits. The lighting and sky had so many variations during the hour session. The sunset was remarkable, I wanted my husband there with me. I did have this loving family around me and I'm really exciting to capture their big day in 2016.

Family Portrait, Seal Beach
Meet the Chamber's family. Tracy is a photographer yet had not had family photos taken in awhile. I was really honored to capture her family portraits. Their daughter was a natural, I'm sure it's from being mommy's subject for many test shoots. My favorite is the photo below, I hope it makes it's way to the perfect spot in their home.

Family/Maternity Portrait, Long Beach
I had fun capturing this adorable family/maternity session. Ethan just wanted to explore the park but I managed to capture a few when he wasn't wandering. I first met Marina to take her real estate headshots. It's so exciting when clients continue to use your services, especially when it's for their family photos. We didn't have a game plan and you really can't with a two year old. I really warmed up to Ethan yet who wouldn't with his charming looks. Thank you Tourney's for thinking of me to photograph this special moment in time for you.
