Engagement Portrait, Naples

The Naples canal at sunset is spectacular. Tiffany and Levi selected the location because they spend a lot of time with her parents who live there. As the sun set we had accesss to their friend's dock and captured some amazing sunset photos of the lovebirds. I just completed the design of their engagement guest signature book. I can't wait to share it with them so that they can share it with friends and family for the holidays. They are so adorable and I can't wait to photograph their wedding next year.

Engagement and family portrait, Long Beach

I didn't get around to posting some of my favorites from Kasi and Leigh's engagement/family session. These were taken in late June down by the peninsula. Their girls looked so cute in their matching bathing suits. The lighting and sky had so many variations during the hour session. The sunset was remarkable, I wanted my husband there with me. I did have this loving family around me and I'm really exciting to capture their big day in 2016.

Engagement Portrait, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles

Jackie and I were discussing engagement locations yet it was her fiance, Donald, who wanted to take the lead on selecting a spot. He's into history and loves museums. His ideas had more to do with architecture and when I heard The Walt Disney Concert Hall was on his list, I was so excited. I've only been there once with my husband so I figured I would remember all the sweet spots. Well I didn't, but we had fun walking around the premises. It's so great that they don't require a permit and you have free access to roam about the exterior. The thing about photographing there is you want to incorporate the architecture yet your subject is the focus. You can look like a spec among the towering walls. I'm really looking forward to photographing there again soon.

Engagement Portrait, Irvine

Joanie described her and Sam as "we are not super serious people so we are happy with fun pics." She did request for a few shots of them wearing their Seahawk jerseys. I wonder if she would have booked her wedding with me if she knew beforehand that I root for the 49'ers. We all played well together and captured some darling photos from their session. This is one couple that just kisses right for the camera. I try not to post so many kissing shots but it gives you a sense of who they are and how comfortable they are together. Joanie was up for anything and suggested climbing a tree to get a shot on a tree branch. I wouldn't have asked for them to do it because it was high enough where it could have ended on not such a positive note...it turned out to be my favorite photo of them. What a fun couple, I can't wait to capture their wedding day. Thank you Joanie and Sam for being such great sports, even though you're Seahawk fans.
