Engagement, Oldtown Orange

Brenda and Steven just purchased a home in the city of Orange. Originally, she suggested the Fullerton Arboretum for their photo session. I was hoping for something a bit different and drove to oldtown Orange to scope out the area. My first impression was that it was not ideal for an engagement session. In the interim, Brenda and Steven concluded that they really wanted to capture it where they live so Oldtown Orange it was. It was my first morning session at a new location but the day turned out perfect. We had so much fun walking around the circle and hunting down the infamous Orange mural. Earlier in the week, Brenda found this great park nearby with great scenery. Here are some of my favorites from the day. Thank you Brenda & Steven for your energy and willingness to cover a lot of ground.

Wedding photography at LaPalapa, Long Beach

Crystal and Joey were so fortunate to have beautiful weather for their beach wedding in February. Cyrstal was working on other arrangements in the event of rain but our sunny Cali weather came through. The service was a beautiful catholic church wedding and transitioned to a casual beach setting for their reception. One highlight was the 1961 Bentley that escorted the newlyweds like two movie stars. The sun cast such a beautiful light on the beach for their romantic portraits, I didn't want it to end. Cyrstal didn't hire an event planner but she prepared and planned the day as a hired professional would. They aced their choreographed dance incorporating two romantic dips. Later in the evening they changed into their classic Filipino attire while they once again choreographed a game of human musical chairs with their guests. Thank you Crystal & Joey, it was an honor capturing your wedding day. Thank you Maribel for all your help and creativity second shooting.
