Joanie described her and Sam as "we are not super serious people so we are happy with fun pics." She did request for a few shots of them wearing their Seahawk jerseys. I wonder if she would have booked her wedding with me if she knew beforehand that I root for the 49'ers. We all played well together and captured some darling photos from their session. This is one couple that just kisses right for the camera. I try not to post so many kissing shots but it gives you a sense of who they are and how comfortable they are together. Joanie was up for anything and suggested climbing a tree to get a shot on a tree branch. I wouldn't have asked for them to do it because it was high enough where it could have ended on not such a positive note...it turned out to be my favorite photo of them. What a fun couple, I can't wait to capture their wedding day. Thank you Joanie and Sam for being such great sports, even though you're Seahawk fans.

Engagement Portrait, Heritage Park
I met Lita at a bridal show where she inquired about the engagement special I promoted. From that point forward we were emailing each other back and forth to arrange for her and fiance, Jeff's engagement shoot. I provided several options for locations and Lita decided on Heritage park. She use to frequent the park as a kid and has fond childhood memories of it. Their available weekends were limited so we scheduled their first open Sunday which was President's Day weekend. Having to dodge and recompose my vision was a challenge with running kids and family abound but we worked around the obstacles to get some memorable portraits. Lita really had to encourage Jeff to do the engagement session. He's not a big picture guy but a solid person as he showed up willing to make his fiance a happy princess for the day.

Veronica and Juan are planning their wedding in October. They love the Disney movie Up and wanted to incorporate the theme into their engagement session with colorful balloons. The balloons created a magical scene against the rugged park terrain. They also brought a love marquee that they will use at their wedding. It was endearing to use props that are meaningful and add some cuteness to the shoot. Congratulations Veronica and Juan, I'm looking forward to capturing your upcoming wedding.
