The Linares family decided to go with another urban look for their family portraits. It's always fun to capture their portraits because they like to mix it up and not do the typical portrait landscapes. The colors look great against the urban decay of the building. San Pedro offers such interesting settings for unique portraits. I'm hoping I get to capture another hip family who are looking to do something similar to this adorable session.
Maternity Portraits, Long Beach
Since Keri and Brian's maternity session in early November, she delivered her baby girl, Avery a few days after Thanksgiving. From the look of the photos, one would not know how far along she was in her pregnancy. The ribbon was a great idea to add a cinch to reveal her little baby bump. A true holiday blessing for their family. Keri had her baby sooner than I was able to post some of my favorite photos from their maternity session. I wish you and Brian a lovely life together with your new bundle of joy.
Engagement Portrait, Costa Mesa
When Gina and Chris get some downtime from their busy jobs, they love going to see plays at South Coast Repertory and Maverick Theater. I was thinking of capturing their engagement session at a theater but they also love outdoor landscapes. When I found out that Chris proposed to her at a park in Orange, I felt a cool, scenic park would be perfect for their portraits. At one moment, Gina looked at me as though it was odd to ask them to climb down into a creek bed but they both were very willing to climb and hike to get to these magical spots for pictures. Gina wants to use her engagement pictures for a combination "save the date" announcement and holiday card. The landscape and vivid colors will be a perfect combination that I'm sure her family and friends will love.

Wedding at The Queen Mary, Long Beach
Another beautiful day in California aboard the Queen Mary to celebrate Wendy and Mike's wedding. Wendy had all her girls in matching robes with their names embroidered over a blue anchor. Mike and his men made their appearance driving up in a white stretched limo. They decided to do a first look prior to their ceremony. It never gets old capturing the emotions of the grooms first look at his bride. Wendy's makeup was perfect and her lovely red lipstick matched her rose bouquet. Mike doesn't like taking photos which is so surprising because he's very photogenic. Wendy surprised her guests with a great twist on the Father/Daughter dance with some hip hop moves and the YMCA. It was a fun filled day aboard the Queen Mary as Wendy and Mike celebrated their nuptials with family and friends.
I love the robes Wendy gave to her bridesmaids.
Wendy looks so happy in this picture. I love how her veil was flowing in the breeze here.
Wendy and Mike's son Logan is like his Dad and doesn't enjoy taking photos. This is such a precious moment of Mom and son.
As you can see, Wendy and her Dad really tore up the dance floor in the Father/Daughter dance.
