It's so exciting for me when I have not photographed at a wedding location, especially when the location is Del Mar. My husband & I had a weekend getaway there years ago and loved it. We got the opportunity to revisit for Jennifer & Travis' wedding. We started at the L'auberge hotel for the bride's getting ready photos. The groom's preparation was at a beach house that his family rents for two weeks every summer. This time around, the beach house served as their ceremony site. Right when Jennifer saw me, she said "it's going to be very casual." You have to love a bride who sets that tone...I was overjoyed because beach casual is very much my style. We had to convince Jennifer to wear her heels just for the ceremony vs. wearing her havaiana flip flops. Their first look was on the bluff above the Del Mar Surf Station. The day turned into a beautiful evening to capture some sunset photos on the beach. A big thank you to Albert Evangelista for second shooting and going above & beyond to make my day stress free. As I departed, my husband and great friends were waiting for me at Zel's on the patio with a bottle of Tobin James to end the evening.
Bridal Session photography at Queen Mary, Long Beach
Rather than blogging Sonnie & Vito's bridal session, I posted my favorite images on Facebook. I loved their session so much that I decided to also highlight it on the blog as well. The one hour session amounted to two hours by the time we walked from the bow to the stearn and stopped for a martini in the observation bar..Sonnie & Vito that is. I on the otherhand enjoyed capturing these fun loving moments.
