Keith and Poev were one of those unexpected bookings that occurred three months before their wedding date. Keith and I had a phone conversation yet I knew from talking to him that I wanted to photograph their wedding day. We chatted as though we already knew each other. It wasn't until two weeks before their wedding that I got to meet Poev and their beautiful son Liam. I was also excited that the venue was at the Long Beach Museum of art. I second shot a wedding there but not as the main photographer. Poev was every photographer's dream. She loved the camera and of course our cameras loved her. She was such an energetic bride that everyone near her felt the excitement. There were no dull moments at this wedding. There was so much love, happiness and excitement in the air. They met at the Arizona Airport so they styled their wedding around an airport theme. Their cake topper was the perfect detail (see photo below). I loved that rather than the traditional ring exchange, they followed Keith's parents tradition by exchanging Movado watches. A big congratulations to the newlyweds and a big shout out to Maribel Farina who assisted me throughout...thank you for your creative vision. It makes a big difference working with a second who's got your back!
